Pierre JEANNERET (1896-1967) Office table in solid Sisso (Indian rosewood). Rectangular top upholstered in black leather and framed, fixed on one side by a panel forming a left side base with a box opening with a drawer and storage compartment, and on the other side, a profiled base with a flat triangular crosspiece. The hollowed-out round drawer opening on an aluminum base is typical of Pierre JEANNERET's work in Chandigarh. On the visitor's side, four central compartmentalized compartments and two side compartments. Circa 1957-58.markings: DIT/CT/115 71 x 122 x 2.5 cm (Restoration, slight wear) Provenance: Chandigarh administrative buildings.
