Democratic Republic of Congo
Wood
Height : 42,5 cm
Anthropomorphic statue with voluminous female attributes: the chest carried forward overhangs large hands that seem to hold it. The body has robust limbs and supports an ovoid head with a curved forehead crossed by a striated frieze that joins the bridge of the nose. The silhouette of a child clinging to his mother's back is carved in the same piece of wood.
