This anthropomorphic face mask has a square and ovoid face. Highly stylized, the face plays on the formal oppositions of textures, polychrome flat tints and planes, giving the work a striking modernity. The lower part of the face is covered with a dark stain, while the upper part is enhanced with triangular red and blue chromatic flat tints. The wide arch of the eyebrows meets the temples. The representation of the mouth, here with lowered corners, is rare, as its absence reminds the initiates of the need for secrecy.
