Baule style mask - Lot 346
Baule style mask
Ivory Coast
Wood
Height : 36,5 cm
The face is characteristic: a cordial arch of the eyebrows sheltering two full globular eyes, a half-open mouth with scarified corners. We find the ngole signs at the temples, and oval keloids punctuate the bulging forehead. The hairstyle is composed of a central frontal shell and two transverse striated lateral shells.
