Kran style mask - Lot 332
Kran style mask
Ivory Coast
Wood, upholstery nails
H : 39 cm
The expressive and cubist features of this Kran mask are projected into space. On an ovoid convex face, two hollowed out triangular eyes are separated by an imposing nose. The prognathic mouth is open, revealing a red tongue. Two lateral projections envelop the face. The visored forehead dominates the whole, punctuated by an engraved motif and upholstery nails.
