Vuvi mask - Lot 192
Vuvi mask
Gabon
Wood, pigments
Height: 36 cm
The face is whitened on the lower part and red on the forehead. In the ovoid field of the face, the two arches of the eyebrows, whose wide curve begins at the root of the small nose in relief to join the outer edges of the mask, draw a cordial surface in which the narrow slits of the eyes and the prominent mouth are inscribed.
