Female statue in the Abiriba style, made of wood and pigments, representing a female figure of noble status, standing on semi-flexed legs, wearing a necklace evoking leopard claws, and multiple bracelets on the wrists and ankles. A vertical band runs across the bulbous abdomen, from the generous chest to the umbilical area, framed by two hands brought to the belly. The ovoid face has a rounded forehead marked by a raised median rib. The cheeks are crossed by a double curved teardrop. The almond-shaped eyes are pierced, the nose is arched, and the mouth with thick lips is slightly half-open. Igbo style - Nigeria Height : 89 cm W : 20 cm Bibliography : COLE M.
